Dr Cathy BurrowsMBBS, BA/BSc, Cert EM, FRACGP
Dr. Cathy Burrows completed her medical degree at the University of Melbourne, graduating in 2014. Originally hailing from Melbourne, Cathy has also called Cairns and Wangaratta home during her training as a medical student and junior doctor. In 2017, she and her young family settled in Ocean Grove.
Cathy honed her skills at University Hospital Geelong and completed a Certificate in Emergency Medicine before pursuing her training in General Practice in Colac and Ocean Grove. Since joining the Ocean Grove Medical Clinic in 2021, she has felt privileged to provide compassionate care to her local community.
As a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP), Cathy has a particular passion for:
- Women’s health, including sexual health and perimenopause
- Insertion of IUDs including Mirena, Kyleena and copper IUDs
- Transgender health
- Mental health
- Currently completing further study in skin cancer medicine
When she’s not in the clinic, Cathy loves swimming, reading, gardening, and spending time with her family. She looks forward to continuing to support and care for the Bellarine community.
