Ocean Grove Medical Clinic and Barwon Heads Medical Clinic are private billing medical clinics (not bulk billing clinics).

As a local GP clinic in Ocean Grove and Barwon Heads, we are committed to providing high-quality healthcare services with a clear and transparent fee structure.

Our goal is to ensure every patient understands the costs associated with visiting a doctor or accessing nursing services at our medical practice. There are no hidden fees, and our team is always available to discuss any questions you may have prior to your appointment.

Transparent fees for doctor consultations

At our medical clinics, all fees are required to be paid on the day of your consultation. A late fee of $5.00 may be applied to accounts not settled on the day.

If you experience difficulty paying, please speak with our reception team.

We accept most forms of payment, including credit card and cash. Please note that credit card surcharges apply.

Failure to attend a booked appointment at our GP clinic may incur a $50 cancellation fee that is not eligible for a Medicare rebate.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a high standard of healthcare services, fees are reviewed periodically.

Please note: Procedures and more complex medical services consultations attract higher fees. Please contact us if you would like to discuss our fees or make an appointment. 

Veteran Affairs patients, nursing home patients and childhood/government funded immunisations fees are bulk billed.

Wound care and dressings

Due to the very high cost associated with wound care, all patients (including concession card holders) will be required to contribute to the cost of dressings, bandages and other consumable items.

Additional out of pocket costs may arise from pathology, imaging, specialist and other services that patients may be referred to.

WorkCover/TAC claims – private fees only

We do not accept Workers Compensation and Transport Accident claims.

Payment must be settled by the patient at the time of consult and you will be given a receipt which can be presented to your WorkCover provider or TAC for reimbursement of your account.

Please note that some consultations cannot be rebated by Medicare ie; Employment and Insurance Medicals and Commercial Drivers Licences. Please speak to our reception staff for more information.
