Covid Vaccination update

Posted on March 9, 2021 in News

 COVID vaccinations are coming BUT we don’t have any in stock as yet. However, we are busy preparing the practice in anticipation of giving COVID vaccinations very soon. From site requirement checklists, practice policies and procedures, staff training, vaccine fridge and cold chain monitoring, to patient information sheets and team meetings to streamline the best way to run the vaccinations clinics, whilst still being able to care for all our patient’s ongoing health care needs.
Unfortunately due to the limited amount of vaccinations that the government have allocated to our clinic, when the vaccinations arrive we will have to carefully manage the distribution until we are able to obtain a larger supply.
At this stage it is people in the The Phase 1b priority populations that will be eligible.
The Phase 1b priority populations  include:
 People aged 70 years and over;
 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults;
 Critical and high-risk workers including defence, police, fire, emergency services and meat processing;
 Health care workers other than those prioritised in Phase 1a, including (but not limited to) hospitals, general practices, pharmacists, allied health, and other healthcare services in the community; and
 People at increased risk of severe disease.
PLEASE DO NOT CALL THE CLINIC or ask our busy reception staff.  As soon as we have anymore information we will update our web site, facebook & instagram pages.
