Riley Burn
Riley is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with a Master of Exercise Physiology from La Trobe University.
Riley understands that starting exercise—or returning to it while managing pain or a health condition—can sometimes feel overwhelming. Known for his calm, patient and supportive approach, he takes the time to understand each person’s circumstances, goals and previous experiences with exercise. He enjoys helping people discover forms of movement that feel achievable, worthwhile and relevant to their everyday lives.
Riley provides individualised exercise programs to help people reduce pain, rebuild strength, improve balance and mobility, manage chronic health conditions and remain active and independent. Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, he works collaboratively with each person to create a program that suits their abilities, preferences and lifestyle. Where appropriate, Riley uses objective strength and movement testing to demonstrate progress and celebrate meaningful improvements along the way.
His clinical interests include musculoskeletal rehabilitation, persistent pain, lower-back pain, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, falls prevention, healthy ageing, diabetes management, cardiovascular rehabilitation, neurological conditions and mental health. He has experience working with Medicare, DVA, NDIS, and private clients through in-person consultations, telehealth, group exercise and community-based rehabilitation.
Above all, Riley aims to make exercise feel less intimidating and more approachable. He believes that a successful program should not only be clinically effective but also realistic enough to become part of a person’s life.
Outside of work, Riley enjoys playing tennis, following the AFL and spending time with his family.
