Dr Kylie Wainwright

Dr - Clinical Pyschologist

Dr Kylie Wainwright is a Clinical Psychologist and has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the University of Melbourne. She has been a psychologist for over 25 years and has been working in private practice to some extent for over 20 years.

Kylie also has experience in running a private practice and has worked in a variety of other settings including juvenile justice, public mental health community clinics, hospital in-patient and out-patient clinics, and a local secondary school. She has extensive experience working with children, adolescents and adults.

Kylie prides herself on her ability to engage well with clients and make them feel at ease, even those who are reluctant attenders such as resistant teenagers! She can work with clients presenting with a variety of problems including depression, anxiety disorders, grief and loss, social difficulties, school challenges, emotional dysregulation, self-harm and child behavioural problems.

Kylie likes to use humour and creative approaches in her work, but also uses a variety of evidence-based techniques in her therapeutic approach including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).
